Fabulous Purple Glass Pointed Faceted Back Late 1800's Ring-This very Old and Incredible Mounted Glass Ring has a Pointed Back Faceted Stone that catches the light, it may be real, but I don't have a kit to test it. The metal Carving comes around to form the prongs in the front, that carry onto the side almost like some winged creature. The back of the ring looks like it might have been made larger or smaller at some point thereby obliterating any markings this wonderful piece might have had. Fells like a size 5 1/2-6, but could easily be sized by a competent jeweler. The metal could use a nice polish, but I will not take away the patina that time has given it, for those of you that like old things to look old.

I tried to research this maker, but there were about 20 different listings, so I can only be sure that it is of Israeli origin, 925 Sterling and marked Isr, Reuven on the inside. It is a typical design of that part of the world and has a High Dome and Detailed Scroll Work with Self Silver Beading on the Sides. The back of the ring is adjustable, and the Dome Stone is Carnelian.
